The story of Finnegan

Sometimes, it could be considered Karma to have an animal come into your life.  Especially a sweet and well-meaning puppy who reminds you everyday of the importance of love, patience and kindness.

Finnegan was brought into our lives just over a week ago. He's a 5 month old pitbull/mix who has already learned to potty outside, sit, high-five and lay down. He's still learning leash manners, stay, roll-over, fetch and to come when called.

Rescued from an abysmally overcrowded animal shelter, he's starting to settle nicely and entertain us with his never-ending puppy antics.  He is inherently well behaved and doesn't chew on shoes or anything he's not supposed to but LOVES to pull apart his puppy toys.  He hasn't figured out that his reflection in the mirror isn't another dog, and makes us laugh when he "play bows" in front of it as if trying to convince it to come out. He loves our landlords' puppies (they have two pit/mix girls of the same age) and is always willing to play.

He gets two walks a day, whether he needs it or not.  This helps him with leash manners and socialization of other people and animals (not to mention helps me lose a few extra pounds from the exercise). As we all get used to our new routine and having him with us, I find now that our lives have been made even fuller.
